This is a program that is an alternative to the play store.

You can find almost any kind of app that you might want on your device with this user-friendly program. Search features are easy to use as all you need to do is look through the latest apps or enter a specific type of app that you want. There are notifications when there are new apps available as well as when current apps that you've downloaded have been updated.

There is a code with each app so that it can easily be updated by the developer instead of waiting for a mass update. You'll see that there aren't quite as many apps to choose from as there are with other play stores, but there is a decent selection of games, music, books and more to keep you busy. Keep in mind that some of the apps do take up more storage space than others. Read the reviews about each selection before you install it on the device to see whether it's something you would use or that you would want to use on a regular basis.

Most of the apps available with F-Droid are free. There is an option to reprogram the information on your own as you have a link to the codes. Use configuration options to find exactly what you want instead of searching through dozens of apps that you might not even be interested in using. Some search features are disabled until needed because they can pop up as notifications at random.
